Chestnuts grown in Corry, Pennsylvania from quality Chinese Hybrid Seedlings from Mother Trees such as Qing, Perry, Luvall's Monster, Yixian Good Flavor, Yixian Large, Payne, etc. Seeds are mostly Chinese(Castanea mollissima), but will have traces of American(C. dentata), Japanese/Korean(C. crenata) &/or European(C. sativa). These seeds are sold for eating and also are able to be grown into chestnut trees as well. They have only been hand-rinsed in water. No other treatments have been applied. They will require cold-stratification in order to grow.
Nuts will vary in size as the season progresses. All are of excellent genetic background and will be cold-hardy and should have great blight resistance. All chestnuts will be 1" in size or larger.
